Latest version for The Sunday Comics cover!

This might be the final version of my cover for The Sunday Comics.  I'm still dorking around with the background colors a bit.  It feels busy, but the right figures "pop", so I'm gonna sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning.

Working on this has gotten me really in the mood to start working on the new pages! Al's story is shaping-up nicely, and I'm working on the updated character designs and storytelling. This really is the grooviest thing I've ever worked on.

What's new with the Cryptozoo?

Just what you've all been waiting for! Cryptozoo Crew is returning to the pages of The Sunday Comics! The Sunday Comics is currently a succesfully-funded Kickstarter that's still ongoing. If you fondly remember the glory of the Sunday Funnies, you need to support this Kickstarter!

Allan Gross and I are working on new stories now, but you'll get remastered stories from the Cryptozoo Crew graphic novel series for the first year. Wait til you read the new stuff! Al's script has more giggles per frame than anything he's written thus far--and I've been studying and refining my cartooning and storytelling for the last few years.

To whet your whistle for new material, here's a work in progress--the cover to an upcoming issue of The Sunday Comics, modeled on the original cover to the first graphic novel!

Baby Bigfoot

Jerry here! So this little guy showed up while I was sketching out some ideas Al was pitching around for a new CZC story. I liked him so much I inked/colored him in ArtRage on iPad, then used Percolator to generate the cool background textures, then Used Tiny Planets to put him on his own happy little planet!
